How this is measured

Every 10 minutes a job checks each system and records one of three results. Working means its newest data is as fresh as it should be. Late means the data is older than expected but still arriving. Down means nothing has arrived for long enough that the site is showing stale numbers.

Most checks look at what the site has actually stored, not at whether the source answers. A feed can be up at NASA or NOAA and still be down here if our fetch or our database fails, and this page is about what you see on the site.

An incident opens after two failed checks in a row and closes on the first good one. A day's bar is green when every check that day passed. History before October 8, 2026 was rebuilt from the timestamps of stored data where they exist, and is blank where they do not. The CME catalogue's earlier history follows the ingest job's, with the outage of September 30 entered by hand.
